Donations Wanted Please
Tonight is the last night for donations for the Whangamata Community Services Trust. Can you spare one or two NEW grocery items? The items most needed are deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, washing powder, dishwashing liquid and milk powder. However, any NEW grocery items would be gratefully received.

Quiz - Thursday Nights from 6.30pm
6.15pm registration for a 6.30pm start. *Free entry. Big screen questions and answers. Very high tech, interactive entertainment. Spot prizes and bar tabs to be won.

Election for Office - 2018/2019 Nominations
Nominations shall open on the 1st April and be received by the Club Office no later than the close of trading on the 30th of April. Nomination forms can be found on the whiteboard located by the noticeboard. We require nominations for (1) President, (1) Vice Presidents and (3) Committee Members.

Anzac Day - Wednesday 25th April ... Club opens at 1pm

Lost Property
Over Summer we have had a Pounamu and a Cross Pendant handed over to the bar.  If you think these items may be yours, please go and see the bar staff with a description of the item.

Sorry boys you well and truly have competition from the girls.... Well done Flan top scorer last week with 16 points, well ahead of the others. This has her tied for first place with Leon on 102 points overall.  Enjoy your $20 bar tab Flan! We now have a shake up of the top spots. Second is Gazza one point behind with 101 points and third is Lyn Rea on 98 points. Can the girls stay on top for another week? Taxi Subsidy
As a Member you can get to the Club and home for $5 per trip within the town boundary. To be eligible for the taxi subsidy, just present your current Membership Card. Phone: 027 959 1686 for Mark or Sue.

Restaurant Club 404
The Restaurant is open for dinner 5.30pm and Saturdays only 12pm-2pm for lunch. No bookings necessary.
This week's FRIDAY BUFFET is Champagne Ham with demi glaze and whole grain mustard, or curry sausages or crumbed southern blue whiting fish.  Cold salads – coleslaw rainbow with creamy mayonnaise and honey, farm fresh green and swiss potato with mustard and mayonnaise.  Hot vegetables – potato, pumpkin, mixed veggies and garden peas.

Adjunct News
Darts & Jude Fenton
Russell Jones, Liz Huxley, Ray Fitness, Wendy Prujean, Murray Pitt, Karen Donaldson, Suzy McCourt. Patrick Cairns and Jude Fenton all competed in the Thames Valley BOP Waikato Area Darts Open Mixed Pairs last Saturday held in Waihi.  It was a great day away with many of the players experiencing their first competition in a Chartered Club Area Tournament gaining good experience.  Russell Jones and Liz Huxley made it to the Semi Finals in the Consolation Plate. Jude Fenton and Rodney Moreland (from Waihi) won the competition.  Jude is off this weekend to compete in the North Island Masters Singles held in Hastings.

Indoor Bowls
Results from Wednesday 11th April:
Good turnout again for a Wednesday 15 players and the winners were: Tim Jones, Laurene Eades and Barbara Mathieson.  Runners up: Alex Steel and Jenny Harpur.  Raffle: Barbara Mathieson.
Results from Friday 13th April: We had 25 players today. Winners: Paulette Glading and June Wilkinson.  Runners up: Peter Gorrie, Jenny Harpur and Lynda Callaghan. Raffle: Jim Bell.  Well done to all our placegetters this week.
Results from Saturday 14th April: We held our Club Champs Pairs Competition today.  We had 20 entries which was really good and it came down to the wire. Semi Finals were Peg Jones & Jim Bell versus Tim Jones & Pat Mortenson and Basil Johnstone & Dexter Harpur versus Norm Sayer & Marilyn Steel.
The Final ended up with Tim Jones & Pat Mortenson versus Basil Johnstone & Dexter Harpur.
The winners were Basil Johnstone & Dexter Harpur, Congratulations Guys.  Raffle was won by Alex Steel.
Well done everyone for coming along and watching to the end.”

Results from Tuesday 17th April: Winner was Cary with 4 wins and 291 points. Runner up was Mikey with 4 wins and 276 points. Highest Breaks Don on 22 and Ken on 28 including handicap. Raffles Jim on 14 and Graham D. on 17.
